It might break, if you let it fall on a stone floor, or if you bang it strongly on the bathroom sink. All our closures are anti-allergic with pure gold coating. A gold coating does not last forever. Although the closures are coated with gold, they will darken after some time from either acid sweat, soap, perfume, or simply being worn. To recover a clean surface, clean the closure by gently rubbing it with a commercial silver cleaner. A silver or brass coloured closure will be the result. Adjust the ring to your finger only once.
